McDonald's will sell Pokémon Happy Meals again in the United States.
The chain announced the promotion on October 29. The new lineup includes 15 toys and 15 trading cards. Customers can access these items at participating restaurants starting November 10.
The set features five specific characters. These include Charmander, Eevee, Pikachu, Squirtle, and Umbreon. The collection marks the 30th anniversary of the franchise. The original video games and cards launched in Japan in 1996.
The company added a digital component to the physical goods. Customers can scan a QR code on the meal box. This code opens a game where players search for 15 hidden toys in a virtual classroom and playground.
McDonald's last ran a similar promotion in January 2025. That offer included booster packs with four of 15 cards, posters, stickers, and digital rewards. The current release follows a September campaign that paired SpongeBob and One Piece characters. It also follows the return of Halloween Boo Buckets in October.
The chain plans to launch a new holiday drink lineup on November 3. McDonald's stated the new meal offers a way to grow a team for both new and longtime fans.
