The war in Ukraine continues to grind along multiple front lines, with the latest daily report detailing a high volume of direct combat engagements. Ukrainian military commanders recorded 177 separate combat clashes over the past 24 hours.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released the figures on Facebook on the morning of October 26. The data shows that Russian forces concentrated their offensive efforts on the Pokrovsk front, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 36 attacks. This sector accounted for more than a fifth of all reported clashes.
Russian pressure remained heavy on two other sectors. On the Huliaipole front, Ukrainian units repelled 13 Russian attacks near settlements including Uspenske, Rizdvianka, Dolynka, Hirke, and Yehorivka. On the Kostiantynivka front, defenders stopped 12 attacks near locations such as Raiske, Mykolaipillia, and Kostiantynivka. The Lyman and South Slobozhanshchyna fronts each saw eight repelled attacks, while the North Slobozhanshchyna front saw three.
Activity was lighter on other sectors. Ukrainian forces repelled a single attack near Malynivka on the Kramatorsk front. The Kupiansk, Sloviansk, Oleksandrivka, Orikhiv, and Prydniprovske fronts reported no offensive operations by Russian forces during the reporting period.
The report noted that the operational situation on the Volyn and Polissia fronts had not changed significantly. Commanders stated there was no evidence of offensive Russian groups forming in that area. The data reflects the situation as of 8:00 a.m. local time on October 26.
