Jennifer Lawrence disclosed during an appearance on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast that she confronted unauthorized crew members on set while filming a nude scene. The incident occurred when she noticed individuals on the stage who had not received approval to be present during her intimate material. Lawrence stated that she "came down hard" on the situation to establish a clear principle for future productions.

She explained her reasoning by focusing on the potential impact on less experienced actors. Lawrence noted that an 18-year-old unknown actress might hesitate to speak up due to fear of gaining a reputation for being difficult. She argued that without established boundaries, newcomers could be forced to choose between speaking out and allowing uncomfortable strangers to witness their nudity. The actress emphasized the importance of explaining these standards to the crew to ensure they understood why the unauthorized presence was unacceptable.

Lawrence addressed her approach to advocating for herself in the industry during the interview. She described the need to remain malleable as a core part of acting, citing director Lynne Ramsay's specific instructions for the film "Die My Love." Ramsay required Lawrence to cut her hair, grow mullet bangs, and dye it platinum blonde. Lawrence accepted these changes as part of the job while acknowledging that she speaks up more frequently now because she understands her position in the industry.

The actress has previously discussed her comfort level with nudity and the role of intimacy coordinators. In a prior appearance on the "Las Culturistas" podcast, she explained that she and co-star Robert Pattinson did not utilize an intimacy coordinator for their scenes in "Die My Love." Lawrence felt safe working with Pattinson, describing him as not pervy and deeply in love with his partner, Suki Waterhouse. She noted that their conversations focused on their children and relationships, which helped maintain a professional dynamic.

Lawrence also shared her mindset regarding her physical appearance during the production of "Die My Love." She stated that being pregnant removed much of the vanity anxiety she previously experienced. Before the film "No Hard Feelings," she adhered to strict dieting and workout regimens. During her pregnancy, she worked 15-hour days and felt too tired to maintain those routines. When the makeup team offered to touch up a close-up of cellulite on her skin, she declined and referred to it simply as an ass.

The interview provided further insight into her current perspective on set dynamics. Lawrence contrasted the expectations placed on male actors with her own experience. She observed that many male actors become offended when an actress does not want to engage in sexual scenes, which can lead to professional consequences. She highlighted that Pattinson did not react in this manner, allowing for a smoother working relationship during the filming of intimate sequences.
