Amanda Serrano enters the ring one last time on January 9 to defend her world titles. The 38-year-old Puerto Rican champion will face Australia’s Skye Falzon at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan.

Most Valuable Promotions named the event “The Last Walk.” Serrano will defend her unified World Boxing Organization and World Boxing Association featherweight belts in the fight. Her professional record stands at 50 wins, four losses, and one draw.

The bout marks the end of a career that spans seven weight divisions. Serrano holds a Guinness World Record for that achievement. She is also the only undisputed boxing champion from Puerto Rico. Her 32 knockout victories tie the all-time women’s record currently held by American Christy Martin.

Falzon arrives in San Juan with a 12-2 record and seven knockouts. She is also 38 years old. The matchup pits two experienced fighters against each other in what Serrano described as the final chapter of her professional life.

Serrano reflected on her long tenure in the sport. She noted that boxing has been her life and that she never imagined the journey it would take her and her family on. She recalled the early days when women’s boxing fought for recognition in small theatre shows. She contrasted that with later events that headlined Madison Square Garden and reached millions of fans on major cards.

Her rivalry with Ireland’s Katie Taylor defined the upper echelon of women’s boxing. The two became the first women to headline Madison Square Garden in 2022. They fought a trilogy of matches. Taylor won the series, taking the third meeting by majority decision in 2025.

Nakisa Bidarian and Jake Paul, founders of Most Valuable Promotions, called the event a celebration of an athlete who changed the sport. They stated that Saturday, January 9, would mark the end of an extraordinary career inside the ring. They added that Serrano’s legacy would live on through every female fighter who follows her.
